The best Bond... so far

I had a little poll on my blog to see which James Bond we all prefer. Daniel Craig won by miles, giving me an excuse for a nice gratuitous non-festive picture. Nobody voted for Roger Moore, which says a great deal about those awful films where a flabby Bond pawed at nubile bikini-clad Bond girls. Nowadays Bond is the objectified one and is expected to be a little more buff while the Bond girls are intelligent, but still beautiful. Don't you just love the 21st century!

  1. Well that picture has definately made my day PM. Know that blonde Bond is not everyone's favourite but I would not mind him on my tree.

  3. Bond doesnt do much for me - whoever plays him. I'd choose Pierce Brosnan at a push. Not surprised no-one voted for Roger Moore - revolting!

  5. Nooooooo - re-open that poll, somehow I missed it, and I'll repeatedly vote for old smoothie Brosnan (though he was icky in Mamma Mia, admittedly) who was BY FAR the best Bond - with Sean Connery a comedy second.

  6. I'd have to agree - this is the best Bond. I KNOW that he is supposed to be British but I could never buy any of the other Brits as that sexy (sorry! nothing against Englishmen, but ......). This one is believable though!

  7. Yup, I'm with this one and loved Connery too (although not sure why Kitty suggests in a comedy way!)

Was talking about you other day as cousin arrived from Southampton and started extolling the virtues of Aber - Rummers came up more than once - and the windy days with the tiles coming off the roof etc - he read your blog in the end and all we could her was 'Yes!' 'I remember that' etc etc etc - then he got all nostalgic - so we gave him another drink or three....
